Plone4ArtistsSite
=================

Overview
--------

Plone4ArtistsSite is a Plone product built to expose the entire suite
of Plone4Artists products.  It currently provides the same functionality
as *Plone4ArtistsAudio*, *Plone4ArtistsVideo*, *Plone4ArtistsCalendar* and
*ContentLicensing* combined.

Audio support
  All functionality provided by the Plone4ArtistsAudio_ product is provided
  such as (but not limited to) MP3 and Ogg metadata support, podcasting
  support, etc.  See the Plone4ArtistsAudio_ product for usage information
  and further details.

Video support
  All functionality provided by the Plone4ArtistsVideo_ product is provided
  such as Quicktime, Windows Media, Realplayer video and metadata support, and
  the ability to embed videos in your Plone site which are hosted at Google
  Video, Youtube, blip.tv, etc. See the Plone4ArtistsVideo_ product for usage
  information and further details.

Calendar support
  All functionality provided by the Plone4ArtistsCalendar_ product is
  provided such as (but not limited to) month view, iCal support,
  etc.  See the Plone4ArtistsCalendar_ product for usage information

Content licensing support
  The included ContentLicensing_ product enables content to be licensed.

- Zope 2.9.8+ (Zope 2.10+ is not supported at this time)
- Plone 2.5.3+ (Plone 3.0+ is not supported at this time)

Installation
------------

If you're installing from the *Plone4ArtistsSite* bundle release you
simply need to install all of the included Zope2 products into your
``$INSTANCE_HOME/Products`` directory.

If you're installing just the *Plone4ArtistsSite* Zope 2 product, you'll need
the other dependencies installed manually as well.  Please see their install
files for proper installation instructions.

Configuration within a Plone site is simply a matter of going to the
*Add/Remove Products* configlet and installing the ``Plone4ArtistsSite``
product.

Basic Usage
-----------

Note: The Plone4ArtistsSite product does not install any content types.

- files with mime types ``audio/mpeg`` or ``application/ogg`` will
  automatically become *audio enhanced*

- files with mime types ``video/*`` will automatically become *video enhanced*

- you can add a Link object, paste in the URL of a video from YouTube,
  Google Video, etc. and then toggle it as a *video enhanced* link by
  choosing **activate video link** from the **actions** drop down menu.

- folders and files can be toggled to be audio enhanced by selecting the
  **activate audio** menu item in their respective **actions** drop down
  menu's.

- folders and files can be toggled to be video enhanced by selecting the
  **activate video** menu item in their respective **actions** drop down
  menu's.

- folders and smart folders can be toggled to be calendar enhanced
  (become calendars) by selecting the **configure calendar** menu item in
  their respective **actions** drop down menu's.
